Mahdi filed an I-130 petition with USCIS in October 2017 for his wife, Hadeel. USCIS approved the I-130 petition in September 2019 and the case was sent to the National Visa Center for visa processing. In April 2021, the case was then transferred to the U.S. embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE. After 3 months, the case was transferred again to the U.S. embassy in Ankara, Turkey. The State Department conducted Hadeel's visa interview in May 2022. Everything went well, but the case was still placed into administrative processing.
Mahdi and Hadeel were very eager to get a decision since they are expecting their first child together! So they hired our lawsuit team to sue the government for the delay. We filed the complaint in court in August 2022 and the embassy reached out to Hadeel within two weeks to request her passport. She submitted it right away, then her case was approved and the visa was issued in October 2022. Hadeel is now in the US with her husband and they are excited to be together again! Congratulations Hadeel and Mahdi on the approved case and the baby on the way! Jim
