This is Alex and his wife, Lindsey. We sued USCIS and helped him get his green card after the case was delayed. Alex has an interesting immigration journey. In 2014, he entered the US and applied for asylum. His asylum case was eventually approved in court. However, while the asylum case was still pending, he fell in love and married a U.S. citizen. His wife filed the I-130 petition in May 2021. Then, Alex submitted his I-485 and waiver applications in October 2021. The I-130 petition was approved, then Alex and Lindsey went to USCIS for an interview on the I-485 and waiver in March 2022. The interview went well, but then his case got stuck. After many calls to USCIS with no movement on the case, Alex decided to hire HIL to sue the government. We got to work and filed the complaint, then served the Defendants. Two days after the last Defendant was served, Alex was notified that his green card was being produced! Congratulations Alex! We're so happy the lawsuit worked and you got your green card.
